A violent weekend in Johnstown as a woman is beaten with a gun, and another man find the same gun pointed at his head. The incident took place Saturday morning in the cities Westend.
Johnstown police say it began as an argument inside My Place bar. The victim telling police that 27-year-old Derrick Jaindle later broke into the apartment she was in. Inside the aprartment at 184 Wilson Street, Jaindle also put the gun to the head of another man and pulled the trigger, but police say it did not go off. The woman was taken to the hospital. Jaindle was charged with attempted homicide, burglary, aggravated assault, and criminal trespass. He is now being held in the Cambria County prison.
Two other people were also arrested and charged. 44-year-old Alexander Forsyth facing criminal conspiracy, aggavated assault, burglary and criminal trespass charges. Also charged, 25-year-old Dawn Hale of Johnstown, she was with Jaindle and Forsyth when the assaults took place.
