Thunder Cycle Safety

It is that time of year again.  Thousand of bikers started rolling into Johnstown yesterday for the 16th Annual "Thunder In The Valley."  The city was packed with visitors from across the country today.  The streets were lined with motorcycles.  While there is food, merchandise and plenty of entertainment there are also booths set up to remind drivers about motorcycle safety.  As tens of thousands of bikers hit the streets of Johnstown for another Thunder In The Valley there also comes the reminder of safety and Penndot agrees.  For the third year in a row Penndot has its "Live Free, Ride Alive" campaign set up and encourage motorcyclists to take the pledge to wear their safety gear and drive safe.  AT&T is also joining the safety initiative, they have set their booth up near the Point Stadium offering a locked box to charge your phones for free but also reminding drivers keep them out of site while behind the wheel.  For Penndot, they say their message seems to be working especially in Cambria County where motorcycle accidents in general were down last year with zero fatalities.
