A Clarion County man has died after a car accident in Bedford County.
Police say 27 year old Sheldon Gathers swerved into the northbound lane of Route 220, and hit pick-up truck carrying drilling equipment. Drums of oil spilled, requiring hazmat crews to respond. The road was closed for nearly six hours. The county's EMA director says this is a dangerous stretch of road, that the area is a passing zone, but unfortunately people use it as a straight away to make up time by driving dangerously fast..
Hazmat crews will have to dig up the side of the hill, where the oil leaked, to prevent any environmental damage.
