Not a vary happy thanksgiving for about 140 Gamesa workers, who were told they will be laid off by January. A year ago, Gamesa announced plans to expand, but now the wind turbine maker is cutting production at the Ebensburg plant. Public relations director, Michael Peck, says they are giving the workers options, including relocating to another plant in the country, accepting a buyout, or taking a temporary job. The problem is they don't know when they'll get their jobs back because Gamesa's waiting on the economy for that decision. Over the past few months Gamesa put money into training and upgrading their facility right now they employ about 300 people.
