Overheated Flu Blamed On Weekend Fire In Cambria County

Firefighters battles a blaze over the weekend at a home in Cover Hill.

The home along the 100 block of Bayush Street suffered extensive damage on both the first and second floors.  It's believed an overheated flu ignited the fire.  By the time crews arrived about 6:00 Sunday morning, flames could be seen coming through the roof.

Crews from Cover Hill, Dale, Oakland-Lorain, Franklin, Conemaugh Township and West Hills Regional fire companies responded.   Everyone inside was able to get out safely.  No damage estimates have been released.
