Deadly Crash Claims One In Tyrone

A 68-year-old Tyrone man died following a two-vehicle crash Tuesday evening on Route 865.

State police in Blair County said Jay H. Nedimyer, 68, of Tyrone, drove his 2001 Kia sedan across the road and into the path of an oncoming 2002 Ford Explorer, he later died from his injuries.

The driver of the Explorer, Allan P. Kendall, 34, of Bellwood, and his passengers, boys ages 2 and 14, were uninjured.

Police said the investigation is continuing.
