New details in what happened inside two Indiana County homes on Tuesday. Indiana County Coroner Mike Baker has now officially ruled the case a murder-suicide. Coroner Baker says the body of Kimberly Ann Romagna was found by Clymer Borough Police inside her home at 215 Hamilton Street in Clymer. A 911 call was made at 12:07pm Tuesday.
According to witnesses at the scene, the victim's mother, who does not live at the home, received a telephone call just minute before from Rodney Jay Wager. Wagner reportedly told Romagna's mother that he had just killer Romagna and that he was about to end his own life and then he hung up. Kimberly Romagna was pronounced dead at the scene at 1:00pm on a single gunshot wound to the head. Three people were in an upstairs bedroom sleeping when it happened. They told police they didn't hear the gunshot, nor did they see Wagner leave the home.
State Police later discovered Wagner's body in the upstairs bedroom of his home and a police stand off. Baker said Wagner had been dead for several hours before he was discovered. He apparently died from a sing, self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head. Baker said there had been a relationship between the victims, but that Ms. Romagna had ended it a short time ago.
Autopsies will be performed Wednesday morning at Memorial Medical Center in Johnstown.
