A day of golf and a day to raise awareness about ovarian cancer. Tuesday marked the 10th Anniversary of the Laurel Auto Group Pro-Am Golf Tournament at Sunnehanna County Club. Over the past decade, the effort has raised a half million dollars. Money that stays right here in our community to help educate women on the symptoms of ovarian cancer. It also uses the money to educate the community and help those who are battling cancer. The event which featured 30 golf pro's was started in 2001 by Ann Harris Smith. She had been diagnosed with ovarian cancer and wanted to help other women. She later died, and her family has continued the tournament in her name.
