Johnstown City Council Votes In New Member

A new member is appointed to Johnstown City Council

In a unanimous vote, council appointed Taylor Clark to fill the seat left vacant by now Assistant City Manager Mike Capriotti.

Clark is the co-owner of Men’s Clothing Store, Miller’s of Johnstown, and is also the co-owner of Coney Island Restaurant.

He believes his background in business in the Downtown Johnstown area is one of the reasons he was appointed by council.

One of his goals is to bring new infrastructure and new retail stores to the area.

We asked him what he wants the residents of Johnstown to know about him.

“You’re never going to meet somebody that’s going to work more hard for you than I am. I do that on a daily basis at work, not just for my family and for my business, but now I get to do it for the general population of the city that I love so much.”

Clark will finish out the remainder of Capriotti’s term, which ends at the end of the year.

He plans on running for a full term in the upcoming primary election.
