In Bedford County State Police are investigating the attempted luring of a child in Everett Borough last night.
Police say the incident occurred in the area of North Spring Street and East Fourth Street around 8 pm Sunday when a man reportedly attempted to lure a 7-year-old girl behind a dumpster by offering her candy.
Troopers say the girl ran inside her home and the man fled the scene.
The suspect is described as a tall, middle aged white male with blonde hair and he was reportedly wearing a red shirt and dark blue shorts.
Police are asking nearby residents to check any home surveillance cameras and contact PSP Bedford or the Everett Borough Police Department
