A Cambria County woman is facing charges after she allegedly assaulted a man Monday Evening and set fire to her own home.
Just after 6 p.m. Officers responded to Kathleen Messatzzia’s home at Hillcrest Court in Johnstown for a report that she was on pills and pouring gas on everything.
Police say the man reported that Messatzzia hit him with a pan, chased him with a knife and lit clothing on fire inside the home.
After being confronted by police, Messatzzia allegedly went into a laundry room where an hour long standoff ensued.
Messatzzia is charged with multiple offenses, including felonies for arson and aggravated assault.
A warrant has been issued for her arrest
