A Centre County nursing home will be receiving a sizeable financial boost from the county.
The Centre County commissioners have announced a $900,000 grant for the Centre Care Rehabilitation and Wellness Facility.
According to the commissioners’ meeting agenda for this week, Centre Care could also be in line for another $500,000 grant if the nursing home meets certain milestones.
Centre Care is a $45 million facility, with 240 beds, that opened in 2021 after the county closed Centre Crest — which was a long-time, county-owned nursing home.
Centre Care is now operated by a separate, nonprofit organization.
