Child Advocacy Center Spare Wars Fundraiser

Circle of Support Child Advocacy Center held their third annual strikeout child abuse bowling tournament fundraiser on Sunday.

Over 30 teams registered to compete in the event at 814 Lanes & Games which included cash prizes and a basket party.

This year’s tournament was called Spare Wars, which featured Star Wars themed prizes trivia music, and costumes.

Organizers say the event raises thousands each year for the Child Advocacy Center, which supports local child abuse victims and their families.

They say this year’s goal was to raise $8,000.

“It really is amazing to see so many people come together for something like this, and it’s more of a light hearted environment, but it still opens up the door for us to talk about the work that we do and just raise awareness
because we know ultimately raising that awareness leads to prevention as well.”
