With the November presidential election looming, a town hall was held Wednesday evening at the Bedford County Airport headlined by Republican Vice-Presidential Candidate, JD Vance.
He and others discussed topics and answered questions from the public, ranging from health care for veterans and diplomacy with other countries, to criticizing policies of the Harris-Walz administration.
“I believe the first person we are going to fire, and there’s going to be more after that. But the first person we get to fire, her name is Kamala Harris, and we’re going to fire her in six days.”
“If we got rid of some of the ridiculous regulations out there, we’d create a lot of prosperity in the construction industry. We’d also build a lot more homes for American citizens.”
Former U.S. Representative Tulsi Gabbard and Congressman John Joyce, among speakers at Wednesday’s town hall.
“I see patients. I see farmers. I see factory workers. I see veterans. You know what i don’t see? I don’t see garbage. I see Americans.”
Organizers also honored veterans and those who are serving in a prayer.
Illegal immigration and economics being some of the other topics discussed.
“What does that do for the legal immigrants that are here? What do they feel like? What’s that do that they did to work to get here legally, and we have people that are pouring in that didn’t do that? So, that bothers me.”
Vance wrapped up his comments by telling people to vote ten times, clarifying that this means getting people they know to be proactive this election.
