Johnstown Mayor Frank Janakovic is not seeking reelection.
Janakovic tells us Tonight that he’s proud to have served three terms as Mayor, and several years on Johnstown’s City Council before that.
He’s now decided to retire at the end of his term from his seat as Mayor to enjoy time with his family.
Janakovic says he decided not to run for reelection earlier this year.
The news comes after Janakovic nominated the Reverend Silvia King to serve as Deputy Mayor last month.
Reverend King announced over the Weekend her intention to run for Mayor.
She’s hosting a kick off event to officially announce her candidacy Tomorrow Afternoon.
