Police in Cambria County are providing a brief update in the homicide investigation of an Adams Township man whose body was found burned along a local roadway last week.
West Hills police confirm that evidence was found in 54-year-old Barry Senior Jr.’s vehicle, and that the evidence has been sent to a crime lab in Greensburg.
Investigators say early last Wednesday morning, authorities were initially dispatched for a reported brush fire, along Haws Pike.
Officials say authorities were then contacted after it was discovered that the fire was actually Senior’s burnt body.
County coroner Jeff Lees has since ruled Senior’s death a homicide, saying an autopsy determined that he was stabbed and strangled before being set on fire.
West Hills Police Chief BJ Newman says authorities cannot yet comment on what evidence was reportedly found.
