Dozens of voices were heard tonight at a Cambria County borough meeting.
Northern Cambria Borough held a public comment meeting to discuss changes with the area’s sewer lines.
Officials say they’re planning to potentially replace and test the lines throughout the entire Borough.
For several hours, dozens of residents explained their concerns to the norther Cambria Borough Board, with some even arguing back and forth between board members and one another.
Officials at the meeting say they took note of ideas from several speakers, and say they will use them to adjust their plan over time.
Several residents even said they are against the idea of testing and replacing their sewer lines.
Meeting officials say they’re hoping to come to a common ground with the residents
“I think some of the board is taking people’s ideas into consideration and I think they probably will take more because I think they made this decision a little abruptly before they actually did some research.”
Officials say they’re planning to hold more public comment meetings in the future.
