A sure sign that the holiday season is almost here, the unveiling of a gingerbread masterpiece at the Omni Bedford Springs Resort.
The Bedford County Chamber of Commerce joined the Omni team led by the Executive Pastry Chef Harshal Naik, and celebrating a ribbon cutting on Saturday on the Festive and Fragrant Gingerbread Carousel.
The structure fills the entrance to the resort, while filling resort guests with the holiday spirit.
The display took two months to construct with the help of building construction students from the Bedford County Technical Center.
“I have a wonderful team that works as hard as me and I have a great, supporting senior team at the hotel who always trust and believe in me, and they give me the green light. And when you have that kind of trust and support, you always want to out-do yourself.”
“It’s 24ft wide with 450 pounds of gingerbread dough 5, 100 bricks, 150 pounds of white chocolate, and 100 gallons of marshmallow and a lot of love.”
The public is invited to visit the resort and see the display throughout the holidays, including during their Grand Illumination Festivities
