Shots Fired Near Ashley Furniture

We’re learning more details tonight about shots fired near several Cambria County businesses over the weekend that led to two men being charged.

Investigators are now releasing more information about the incident Today.

Kevin Heidemann is identified as the man pulling the trigger just before 8 a.m. On Saturday.

Richland Police Chief Rick Pollino says the driver of that vehicle was Heidemann’s brother Westley who’s a sub-contractor for a nearby Ashley Furniture Store.

Police say Westley Heidemann and another Ashley sub-contractor got in an argument that turned physical

Investigators say later the suspect Kevin shot multiple bullets toward a juvenile from a vehicle before allegedly fleeing the scene.

Police say they were able to track the vehicle’s registration and license plate information leading them to a residence along Ohio Street in Lorain Borough

Officials say a search warrant was served and the weapon was recovered.

Cambria County District Attorney Greg Neugebauer discussed Today how much worse the situation could have been with the several businesses in the area.

Both men are facing several charges.

Kevin Heidemann faces multiple felony aggravated assault charges while Westley is being charged with one felony of conspiracy aggravated assault.

Both have preliminary hearings currently scheduled for May 22nd.
